Hi, I'm

Paulo.

Tomography to Histology

During my internship at Stanford University, I worked on a project that utilized  Machine Learning models to transform tomography images into histology images. This approach aimed to assist potential patients by leveraging ML to eliminate the need for invasive biopsies, paving the way for non-invasive diagnostic techniques.

Tomography To Virtual Histology

InkBall

Inspired by the Microsoft game, InkBall was a very fun yet challenging game to develop that combines strategy, creativity, and quick reflexes.

Pong / Raspberry Pi

I used a Raspberry Pi Hat-Mini to play the old school game Pong using the LEDs and the little buttons.

538 / Data Visualization

With an Employment dataset from U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, I showed the correlation between your age and the jobs you are likely to have depending on your age.

TI-83 / Snake

How it all started. I programmed my calculator to play Snake instead of studying for my Calculus class.

About Me

Paulo de Luna

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at The University of Sydney. My journey began at Foothill College, where I cultivated a strong foundation in programming and data science, earning a 3.9 GPA in the Transfer Student Program. Throughout my academic and professional experiences, I have explored diverse areas of technology, from designing arcade-style games and developing interactive data visualizations to conducting cutting-edge research at Stanford University. My internship focused on using Machine Learning to innovate in medical technology, specifically for early detection of skin cancer. While I remain open to the endless possibilities in the tech field, the intersection of Hardware and Machine Learning continues to inspire me. As I delve deeper into Computer Science, I am excited about expanding my knowledge and skills to eventually achieve my goal of becoming a Software Engineer.
